FAQs

1.  What are your church affiliations?

Grace Baptist Church cooperates as a Southern Baptist church who cooperates with the Royal Palm Baptist Assocation (RPBA) and the Florida Baptist Convention (FBC). GBC is also the headquarters for Founders Ministries.

2.  Where are you located?

Grace Baptist Church meets at 1300 Ceitus Terrace, Cape Coral, FL. We are essentially located throughout Southwest Florida as a "sent" community of Christ followers, but if you would like a map of where exactly we meet on Sundays and Wednesdays, go here

3.  What should we expect when visiting for the first time?

You should expect to be welcomed and loved by people who are learning to live by grace. Down to earth, serious-minded, and joyful believers who want to make a difference in this world for Jesus' sake are the kind of people you will likely meet. More detailed information is provided on our what to expect page.

4.  How does someone become a member of Grace?

We have provided the steps of the membership process on our website for anyone interested in joining with Grace Baptist Church. Resources such as our church's confession and covenant are important documents to consider as well. If you have questions or would like to talk to an elder, please call the church office (239.772.1400).

5.  Is your style of singing traditional or contemporary?

The singing at Grace includes both great hymns of old and the best of the contemporary worship songs of today. So not only do we sing the compositions of writers like Isaac Watts, Charles Wesley and Augustus Toplady, but also those of Stuart Townend, Keith Getty, and Bob Kauflin. You can find the upcoming order of worship on our services page.

5. Is Grace a homeschooling church?

Many of our families do homeschool, but we also have many whose children go to "regular" schools--both public and private. We encourage parents to recognize and embrace their God-given responsibility to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). How that responsibility is carried out may vary from family to family and across the different stages of a family's life.

6. Do you have children's church?

No. We provide child care during all of our services for children under 3, but we warmly welcome children in our meetings. Most children are able to learn how to participate appropriately in worship at a much earlier age than we typically think. Many parents in our church who were unsure about this at one time have since discovered that not only is it possible to teach small children to act appropriately, there are many rewards that go with doing so. Any of these parents would be glad to tell you their stories and share lessons thay have learned.

7. Does your church support missionaries?

Absolutely! We have sent out 5 families or singles to 5 different people groups on 3 different continents over the years. We also support various Gospel workers around the world and are delighted to maintain personal contact with dozens of them. As a part of the Southern Baptist Convention of churches we have a part in supporting over 5000 workers throughout the world.
