Preparing for Grace Gathered - 05.30.2010

Over the past couple of months, God has continued to use the Sunday gatherings to minister to more and more people from our community. Because of God’s blessing, we are seeing more people attending our gathered services now than at any other time in our church’s history. It is exciting to see how God is working in our community and with that comes a stewardship of and sensitivity to the needs that accompany these people. The elders continue to ask those of you in the Grace family that can the early service to please consider doing so to allow for more seating in our 10:45 service.

If you are new to the area or are looking to attend one of our services this Sunday, visit our “New to Grace” menu on our website where you will find information such as directions, what to expect, the latest at Grace, and other frequently asked questions. We look forward to meeting you and have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus and how He has changed our lives!

Bible Study: Nehemiah

This Sunday, Pastor Tim Brister and Rick Tarter will wrap up the study on Nehemiah by looking at Nehemiah 8-10 focusing on the centrality of the Word (ch. 8), renewal through confession and repentance (ch. 9), and resolution to covenant faithfulness (ch.10) Come join us at 9:30 as we learn from God’s Word!

Grace Gathered (Worship Services)

In our gathered worship services (8:00am and 10:45am), we will renew our hearts through the means of grace as God reveals Himself to us through His Word and by His Spirit. Pastor Shawn Bergen will be delivering God’s Word from Colossians 1:21-23! Do you know the “hope of the gospel”? Have you been reconciled to God through the sacrificial death of His Son Jesus? Join us in our gathered services to glory in the gospel, grow in grace, and glean from God’s Word life-transforming truths!

During our time of singing, we desire to draw our mind’s attention and heart’s affection on the greatness of our God and offer the words of our lips as a sincere commentary of our lives. Below are the lyrics to the modern hymn “Grace Unmeasured“. We encourage you to read, meditate, and pray these words into your heart and life as you prepare to gather with the Grace family this Sunday.

Grace Unmeasured

Grace unmeasured, vast and free
That knew me from eternity
That called me out before my birth
To bring You glory on this earth
Grace amazing, pure and deep
That saw me in my misery
That took my curse and owned my blame
So I could bear Your righteous name

Grace paid for my sins
And brought me to life
Grace clothes me with power
To do what is right
Grace will lead me to heaven
Where I’ll see Your face
And never cease
To thank You for Your grace

Grace abounding, strong and true
That makes me long to be like You
That turns me from my selfish pride
To love the cross on which You died
Grace unending all my days
You’ll give me strength to run this race
And when my years on earth are through
The praise will all belong to You
