Buddy Break at Grace is ministry in partnership with Nathaniel's Hope; a program designed to give caregivers of children with special needs (VIPs) a break for three hours. One Saturday a month, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, fun activities such as games, stories, videos, music, crafts and more are prepared for the VIPs and their siblings. During this time, caregivers have an opportunity to take a break, knowing their loved ones are in a caring and safe environment.

Buddies are volunteers who have been screened and have gone through a two-hour training session. Each VIP is paired with a Buddy friend. Prior to the Buddy Break, each Buddy receives information about their VIP provided by the caregiver through a detailed questionnaire at orientation. This ensures each VIP is given the special attention he or she needs.
