New building, new officers, new beginning...all because of the same, old Gospel
It is hard to believe that we are on the brink of our inaugural worship service in our new facilities. The last 7 months have been filled with excitement, challenges, answered prayer and incredible displays of God's grace and power. Now we are ready to invite the community to join us for a special Easter worship service, April 8 at 10AM. Part of our worship will include baptism of several whom the Lord has brought to saving faith recently and has added to our membership.
The reconstruction of our building, located at 1300 Ceitus Terrace, has gone more smoothly than we could have hoped. God removed obstacle after obstacle as we prayed and worked toward having evertything ready by April 8. Our Task Force--Tim Marks, John Swaska, Don Reisinger and Tim Brister--worked closely with Stevens Construction and Chris Lee Architects to keep things moving forward throughout the whole process. Tony Flammia and his crew at Creative Sound at times worked around the clock to get everything ready for us. God blessed us greatly through them. Paul Dickson and his staff at the Department of Community Development in Cape Coral (especially Tammy Whitaker and Michelle Miller) as well as Fire Chief Bill Van Helden and his staff, have been amazingly helpful. It is obvious that the Lord guided us to the right people at the right time. All of them served us very well.
Now we are ready for our first worship gathering on Easter. We will serve a continental breakfast from 9-9:45AM and the service will begin at 10AM. Be sure to invite friends and neighbors from the community to join us.
In the evening we will ordain and install our 2 new deacons, John Stone IV and Jorge Alvarez, along with our new elder, Don Reisinger. We will celebrate the Lord's Supper as we express our commitment to Christ and His church through affirming our newly revised church covenant. We will also formally welcome our newest members.
What a day of worship and celebration that promises to be! So many new blessings in which to exult--a new building, new officers, a new beginning. But all of these new blessings have come to us through the power of the old, unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ. By His life, death and resurrection, He has purchased these gifts for us. All praise and glory belong to Him.
So join us this Sunday (April 8, 2012) as we worship our risen Lord. Come prepared to offer Him the praise which He is due.
